At Bandits Goaltending School we strive to give our students every possible
advantage to learn and become the best goaltender they can be. Therefore, we
offer FOUR unique aspects to our training.
Phase #1: Team and Private Lessons
The first phase of our training begins with superior year round instruction to
goalies and teams through private and team instruction. If you want the best,
the train with the best!
Team Instruction
Bandit's staff is second to none in the area of qualified instruction. All staff
members have received years of instruction from the Director of Bandits Goalie
School, Stan Matwijiw. Why is this so important? Every Bandit's instructor is
not only an accomplished goaltender, but has also been taught under Bandits
Goalie School core system of teaching; therefore making every instructor a
branch off the same tree. In other words, it doesn't matter what Bandit's
instructor attends a team's practice, the knowledge and teaching philosophies
STAY THE SAME. Bandit's has different packages for every teams needs whether
it be on a weekly, bi-weekly or once a month basis. In team practices, a Bandits
instructor will focus on a variety of areas throughout the year in order to make
that goaltender ready for the next level. Please contact Bandits in regards to
pricing and availability to schedule a Bandits instructor for team instruction
or for more details call our head office in Novi, Michigan at 248 - 669 - 9705.

Private Lessons
Throughout the course of the hockey season mechanical skills may stumble.
Bandits Goaltending School offers private lessons throughout the season for any
goaltender that might need to freshen up his or her skills. Our private lessons
are one on one and last one hour. In this hour, a Bandits instructor will hone
in on specifics that a goaltender might be struggling with or the instructor can
broaden the spectrum and run the goalie through an array of different drills as
a tune up. At the end of each private lesson, the instructor will recap the
lesson with the goaltender, as well as his or her parents, to make both sides
understand what needs to be worked on in order to progress in the right
direction. Please contact Bandits in regards to pricing and availability to
schedule a Bandits instructor for team instruction or for more details call our
head office in Novi, Michigan at 248 - 669 - 9705. If located on the western
part of the state, please contact Joe Messina at 616-893-6173.

Game Performance Analysis
Game Performance Analysis takes team instruction to the next level. With a Game
Performance Analysis, a Bandits instructor would attend the goaltenders game and
use one of our analysis sheets to chart the goalies performance; save by save,
goal by goal, and good habits to bad habits. After the game, the instructor will
sit-down with the goaltender and discuss his/her performance. The goaltender
will also receive a Self Evaluation form that he/she can fill out on their way
home from the rink. Players evaluate their own performance by rating their
overall play, as well as a goal by goal breakdown. The advantage of utilizing a
Game Performance Analysis is the insightful direction a Bandits instructor
receives from the analysis. The instructor uses the final analysis results and
applies that information to the next couple of practices with the
goalie/goalies.
A Bandits instructor will come to a specific game to analyze three periods of
play. This will give the instructor, coaching staff and goalie a better
understanding of what he or she is doing correctly in a game situation and also
what the instructor and goalie need to be focusing more attention on during
practice.
The Game Performance Evaluation will consist of:
- 3 periods of pad analysis (pro's and con's of game performance)
- recap evaluation with goalie after game ?go over pad analysis
- goalie will receive a separate self evaluation form to take home review self
evaluation form at next practice with instructor
- review notes and recap goalies performance with coaching staff
Game Performance Evaluations - $120.00
